Like on browsers and YouTube, users on Netflix also have the ability to delete individual content from their activity history. If you have the account shared with your partner and you’re afraid that they might find out what movies or TV series you’ve watched, deleting Netflix history is the easiest solution.
The feature was only recently added and you can delete Netflix history from the browser only. Unfortunately, at the moment it is not possible to do it from our smartphone or tablet. The procedure to follow is very simple and in less than two minutes we will have deleted all traces of the movies and TV series we have watched solo. How to delete Netflix history
Cleaning the history can only be done via the computer’s browser. First, you have to open Netflix and sign in with your account. Once this step is completed, you have to press on the top right of your profile icon and then click on Account. In the new page that opens, you have to click on “Content viewing activity” in the “My Profile” section. It will open a new page with all the content viewed in the last period. Next to the name of the single content there is a circle icon with a line in the middle: if you press it, the movie or TV series will be deleted from the Netflix history.
If the content you want to delete is not present in the screen, you have to press the “Show more” button in the lower left corner and wait for other TV series and movies you have watched in the past to be shown. Once you find the content you want to delete, just press the icon with the circle on the right.
Removing the title from the history can take up to 24 hours.
