Sky PrimaFila Premiere is Sky’s new service where you can rent movies that should have been released in theaters. Here are the titles available and how much it costs
Sky launches a new service for its satellite and fiber subscribers and does so once again to offer a moment of entertainment in these difficult and complicated days. The television broadcaster is very active on this front and in recent weeks has launched several initiatives: two new cinema channels visible to all subscribers (including those of digital terrestrial), full subscription extended to all and the possibility of seeing some films on PrimaFila for free.
Now Sky presents a new service: Sky PrimaFila Premiere. The platform allows you to rent movies that should have been released in theaters in this period, but due to the lockdown could not make their debut. For this reason, production companies have decided to opt for a new distribution channel: satellite and on-demand platforms. Among the films that will be available from April 10 (the Easter weekend) are “Trolls World Tour”, a cartoon much loved by children, “Un figlio di nome Erasmus” and other international productions. Here’s how it works and how much it costs Sky PrimaFila Premiere.
What is SkyPrima Fila Premiere and how it works
Sky PrimaFila Premiere is a new service of Sky that offers its satellite and fiber customers the vision of the films that would be released in theaters in this period. With theaters closed and the inability to earn money from the box office, production companies have closed agreements with television stations and on-demand platforms to launch new films.
In addition to Sky, other broadcasters should give their users the opportunity to rent the films that should have been released in theaters, but for the moment there is no official news.
Sky PrimaFila Premiere follows the example launched by Amazon Prime Cinema in the United States, a service launched a few weeks ago that allows you to rent movies that could not be released at this time.
How to see Sky PrimaFila Premiere
Sky PrimaFila Premiere will be available to all Sky subscribers on satellite and fiber. To access the service you need to enter Sky PrimaFila and select the movies that can be rented and marked as “Premiere”. For Sky’s digital terrestrial customers, the service is not available.
SkyPrimaFila Premiere: the films available
The service starts on 10 April with a long-awaited film, especially for children: Trolls World Tour. The protagonists of the Italian version are Francesca Michielin, Stash, Elodie and Sergio Sylvestre.
On April 12, Easter Day, comes “Un figlio di nome Erasmus”, a comedy starring Luca Bizzarrim Paolo Kessisoglu, Richy Memphis, Daniele Liotti and Carl Alt.
In addition to Italian cinema, international films will also be available such as “Emma”, “The Invisible Man”, “The Hunt”, “Bloodshot”, “Return to Win” and other titles that will be announced later.
How much does Sky PrimaFila Premiere cost
The price of renting a film should be 15.99 euros, a standard cost that will be common to all platforms that will offer this type of service. For some films, however, the price could be slightly lower, but to have certain news we will have to wait a few more days
When is Sky PrimaFila Premiere available
The service will open its doors on April 10 with the film “Trolls World Tour” and will continue throughout the month of April, at least until theaters reopen.
