Honor has unveiled its new flagship killer. The Hono V9 mounts Kirin 960 chipset supported by 6GB of RAM. Will it be present at MWC 2017?
A few days before the start of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Honor anticipates its competitors and presents in China its new flagship killer, the Honor V9, a smartphone with very interesting features and with a price, that if it would be confirmed also in Europe, would make it soon become one of the best phones for price-quality ratio of 2017.
Honor is the sister company of Huawei that at first was supposed to make only entry level smartphones, but soon devoted to other types of devices, as evidenced by the Honor 8 and Honor 6x. With the Honor V9, the Chinese company takes a very important step forward: the device has all the credentials to fight on equal terms with all the top of the range smartphones on the market and with those coming out in the coming months. After the Honor 8, a phone much appreciated by users, the Chinese company is ready to confirm at high levels.
Specifications Honor V9
The Honor V9 will mount a Kirin 960 chipset, the same present on the Huawei Mate 9, supported by 6G of RAM and 64GB or 128 GB of internal memory, depending on the version chosen. The screen is 5.7 inches with a QuadHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The device also has support for virtual reality. Another very interesting feature is the dual 12-megapixel rear camera that supports a new feature for 3D images. The battery will be 4000 mAh, while the operating system used will be Android Nougat 7.0.
Price and Availability
At the moment, the device will be available only in China, but Honor is expected to present it in Europe during the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. According to the latest rumors, the Chinese company should launch it in Europe under the name Honor 8 Pro. As for the cost, the Honor V9 will start from a base price of 2599 yuan (about 350 euros) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage version, while the top-of-the-line 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model will require shelling out about 150 euros more.
