The Chinese company affiliated with Huawei is launching its new top-of-the-line phablet designed for movies and video games, here’s what the Honor Note 10 will look like
Honor has launched the Note 10, its first phablet with top-of-the-line features. A device with a huge 6.95-inch screen with AMOLED technology and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will be made entirely of glass and in the back the material is processed with a metal patina to make it bright under the sun’s rays.
The new Honor Note 10 has a design quite similar to its predecessors of the Chinese company born from the digital branch of Huawei, but compared to the Note 8 is much narrower for a more ergonomic grip in the hand. In addition, the Honor phablet has minimized bezels on both the top and bottom of the device to ensure users have a full-screen view. The Honor Note 10 will hit the market in two different colorways, Ghost Blue (a sort of blend between dark blue that tends to purple when exposed to the sun) and in Black Magic (a black that glows white like a starry sky when exposed to sunlight.
Honor Note 10: technical specifications
The Honor Note 10’s huge screen offers 115% NTSC color gamut as well as 600 nits brightness and a 70,000:1 contrast ratio. Colors will render at their best even under the sun thanks to the HDR10 format. The phone also uses artificial intelligence to intelligently fill in pixels on the screen to make them more vibrant. The phablet is in fact designed for gaming and playing movies and TV series as well as working on documents and computing files. Watching movies will be even better thanks to the symmetrical stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
To avoid having problems with video games or heavy programs The phone has a dedicated Turbo button on the right side of the device that when pressed will essentially start cleaning up background processes to allow the CPU performance to reach its maximum. The same button can be used for quick commands, such as recording the game of a video game if pressed or taking a screenshot of our game. The phone also uses a new liquid cooling technology called “The Nine”, so far used almost exclusively on gaming PCs, which will prevent overheating after intense use.
On board we will find the Kirin 970 processor supported by 8GB of RAM. Also impressive is the 5,000mAH battery that allows you to play a high-performance video game for about 4.5 hours straight or a medium performance title for almost 7 hours straight. With normal use, however, the battery can exceed three days of use. The Honor Note 10 also supports a 5V super fast charging.
Honor Note 10: Photo compartment
With regards to the photo compartment the Honor Note 10 is practically identical to the Honor 10. At the back we find a dual camera with 16MP secondary sensor and 24MP main sensor with f / 1.8 aperture. Both supported by artificial intelligence to improve our shots. Unlike the Honor 10, however, we will also find the AIS technology, for the automatic stabilization of photos, a very useful tool for shots in poor light conditions on the move. The front camera, on the other hand, will be single and will support videos and selfies with the beauty effect and bokeh effect.
Honor Note 10: availability and prices
Honor Note 10 will go on sale starting August 1, 2018 on vMAll, Huawei’s digital store.
