The new Honor 30 range models have been officially unveiled and are set to debut in China on April 21. Here are features and price
The new Honor 30 smartphone range was unveiled in China via live streaming on April 15, as announced by the tech company at least a month ago. The Honor 30, Honor 30 Pro and 30 Pro + devices will debut on the Chinese market in a few days and will have one feature in common: they will support 5G.
The fast connection is made possible by the Kirin 985 and Kirin 990, already present on the Huawei P40. The new Honor 30 devices thus come to complete the so-called 30 Series, which had been inaugurated with the launch of the Honor 30s smartphone, available in China since April 7 at a very competitive launch price, namely 2,399 yuan, which corresponds to about 306 euros. An aesthetic feature shared by the two new models is the Honor lettering that towers at the back, right below the phone compartment. Here are the features of Honor 30, the low-cost smartphone.
Honor 30: features and official price
The basic model of the range features a large 6.53″ OLED display with FHD+ resolution. There is an integrated fingerprint reader under the screen. It has a 32 MP front camera inserted at the top of the screen in the upper left corner.
In the back we find as many as four sensors arranged vertically. The main camera is 40 megapixel. We then find an 8 MP wide-angle lens, an 8 MP telephoto lens. To these we add a 2 MP macro lens. As we already mentioned it supports 5G thanks to the HiSilicon Kirin 985. The 40W fast-charging battery has a power of 4,000 mAh. Finally, it’s available with 6 or 8GB RAM plus 128 or 256GB storage.
The Honor 30 will be sold in China starting April 21 at different price ranges: starting at 390€ for a 6+128GB storage; at 415€ for the 8+128GB solution and at 455€ for the maximum possible storage, i.e. 8+256GB. Prices refer to the current exchange rate between euro and yuan.
Honor 30 Pro: features and price
Honor 30 Pro is a higher-end device has the 6.57-inch OLED display waterfall, which extends to the sides, eliminating the bezel altogether and creating a rounded curve on the edges. Again we find the integrated fingerprint scanner. There are two front-facing cameras: a 32 MP and an 8 MP wide-angle camera. The rear photo compartment also promises excellent performance: in addition to the main sensor RYYB Sony IMX600 40 MP, mounts a 16 MP wide-angle lens and 8 Mp telezoom.
Under the screen finds place the chipset Kirin 990 5G that offers an even more stable and fast connection. 4,000 mAh battery with 40 W fast charge. It will be launched along with the others on April 21 at a price of 520 euros for 8 GB of RAM + 128 GB of storage; alternatively, you can choose the device with 8 GB of RAM and 256 Gb of storage at 570€. Honor 30 Pro +: features and price
The Honor 30 Pro+ has small differences with the previous model, which focus mainly on the photographic compartment. Thanks to some specifications, many have compared it to the Huawei P40 Pro+.
Another specification that will satisfy the most demanding is the display with 90 Hz refresh rate. Compared to the Pro model has support for wireless charging.
The photo compartment has few differences with the previous model, in fact, the Honor 30 Pro+ also has two front sensors: a 32 MP and a wide-angle 8 MP. In the back we find a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP 5x telephoto with optical stabilization and periscope lens and a 16 Mp wide-angle sensor featuring support for 2.5 cm Macro shots.
The phone is offered with a RAM memory of 8 or 12 GB to which 256 GB of storage is added. It will go on sale from April 21 in China in silver and purple colors. Prices will be as follows: 8+256 GB at a price of around €650 or 12+256 GB at a cost of €715. Prices are based on the current exchange rate between euro and yuan.
