Fitted with a 14-inch screen and a high-resolution camera, HiMirror scans the skin of your face and provides advice to keep it healthy
HiMirror is a “smart” mirror that acts as a personal beauty consultant to get back to a toned, bright and beautiful face. Its secret is a camera that takes a natural image of the face to analyze the complexion before offering targeted advice.
Consisting of a 14-inch LCD screen equipped with a central camera and flash, the smart mirror – just as a hi-tech beautician would – takes a picture of its “client’s” face every day to analyze the possible appearance of wrinkles, dark spots, dark circles, pimples and pores. The idea is to keep track of how the skin changes over time and promptly report when it’s time to take action, or perhaps take drastic measures, to improve it by providing all the necessary advice to achieve the goal of becoming beautiful again.
HiMirror, how the smart mirror works
(taken from YouTube)
How does HiMirror work? It’s simple: first, you have to position yourself in front of the mirror, move slightly until you line up with the silhouette and the camera recognizes you. The mirror takes a picture and begins to analyze the health of the skin on your face. At the end comes the response, namely the advice on how to improve those dark circles or pimples that occasionally pop up here and there. HiMirror takes advantage of the (encrypted) connection with your iPhone or Android smartphone to retrieve all the information and advice selected ad hoc for you from its immense database. At the same time, the collected data will be kept securely, ensuring that your privacy is safe in its hands.
HiMirror, the personal beautician
HiMirror is a system that cares a lot about the privacy and security of its “clients”. The smart mirror, for example, does not activate cameras or various sensors if it does not recognize you and responds only to commands given by your voice. Other members of the family will not know anything about what you say in the privacy of the bathroom. HiMirror also features a motion sensor that lets you flip through pages of advice with a simple wave of your hand. And it doesn’t cost much either: $189, which is about 178 euros (at today’s exchange rate).
