Google has updated its personal assistant and made available support for searches in both Italian and Spanish
Finally Google Assistant, Mountain View’s personal assistant, is ready for Italian users. The announcement was made by the US company itself.
The voice assistant, known as Google Assistant, available on most Android phones and on several Google-branded devices, thanks to a new version will support searches made in Italian and Spanish. As for Spanish, it will only be available for users in Mexico, the United States and obviously Spain. At the moment, as mentioned, the two new languages will only be used on the robottino operating systems. But Google has already announced that by the end of the year the same function will also be compatible with iPhone and iPad.
How Google Assistant works
Thanks to this new update there are eight languages supported by the Mountain View personal assistant. At the moment, Google’s artificial intelligence is one of the most developed among the most popular ones created by large manufacturers. Amazon’s Alexa, for example, only supports German and some variants of English. Samsung’s Bixby is compatible with English and Korean. On the same level is Microsoft’s Cortana, which supports eight languages. All of these personal assistants, however, lag far behind Apple’s Siri which currently supports twenty languages.
How to use Google Assistant
To use Google Assistant on our smartphone we need to make sure we have a mobile device running Android version 6.0 or higher.
