The next top-of-the-line Samsung smartphones will hit the market in 2020, but there are already a lot of rumors circulating about their specifications and features. The Galaxy S series reaches its eleventh edition and is preparing to conquer even the most wary users. How? With an unparalleled battery, which translates into an autonomy superior to that of previous models.
In fact, Samsung Galaxy S11 will be a small and compact smartphone, but at the same time it will have an important battery, which even competes with that of the standard version of the Galaxy S10. The characteristics were revealed by the website Safety Korea, which also published a photograph of the component, with its measurements. The battery has a specific code: EB-BG980ABY that clearly appears in the image. But what are the characteristics of the Galaxy S11 and what can be understood from the photo spread on the web?

The GalaxyS11, codenamed Picasso, is among the most anticipated smartphones of 2020. The presentation will take place as usual in February, in conjunction with the World Mobile Congress (or a few days before) to be held in Barcelona from February 24 to 27. We already know some technical characteristics, but for a few days there has been circulating news about the energy autonomy.
In the last few days, the Korean news site Web Safety Korea has spread the photograph of the battery of the Galaxy S11. What are the details that suggest this? First of all, the component carries a code that started with “G980” which would correspond precisely to the phone’s model. What do we know so far about the battery?
Surely the large size corresponds to a very interesting capacity. According to rumors, it should have between 3,800 and 3,900 mAh. This is a real leap forward for the brand, considering that the battery of the Galaxy S10 Standard is 3,100 mAh.
But why did Samsung make this choice? Many experts immediately thought about the needs of 5G. The brand would be designing batteries suitable for all cell phone models. In fact, all models of the Galaxy S10 will have a 5G variant, a more stable and faster connection, which steals energy and therefore needs a more powerful battery. There is already an example of this evolution: the Galaxy Note 10 5G, specially designed for the fast network has a battery of 3,500 mAh. For the moment, this model is sold only in South Korea, but soon it will be necessary to adapt the smartphones in Europe as well, in conjunction with the advancement of the 5G network.
Galaxy S11: features of the telescopic camera
The telescopic camera has also emerged rumors. The Galaxy S11 will have the 108 Megapixel sensor (exactly like the Xiaomi Note 10 launched in the past hours, whose photographic compartment was made in collaboration with Samsung itself) and, even more interestingly, a telescopic lens that should provide a 5X optical zoom. In this case, the Koreans have “taken inspiration” from the Chinese Huawei, which in the past months had launched a smartphone with a combined optical-digital zoom with 50x magnification.
