The Galaxy S10 Lite will mount the Exynos 9820 processor, the same as the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+. But it won’t have the triple camera. Coming in February
Diversify the product to attack the market. This is the new economic strategy of Samsung that with the new Galaxy S10 is ready to launch the first top of the range of the year. The smartphone will be made in five different versions: two will be 5G models and will arrive later this year (probably in the spring or summer months), while the other three will be devices very similar to each other but will differ in some features.
Between these three models there will also be the Galaxy S10 Lite, a version with a smaller screen than the base model, but with very interesting features. The suffix Lite should not deceive, the smartphone can be compared to the top of the range on the market. Samsung, in fact, decided to mount inside the Galaxy S10 Lite the Exynos 9820 processor, the same that will be inserted in the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, a sign that the South Korean company wants to offer a mid-range device but with top features.
How the Galaxy S10 Lite will look like: features
With the Galaxy S10 Lite, Samsung wants to attack that market segment dominated so far by devices such as the Xiaomi Mi 8, the OnePlus 6T and the Honor 10, smartphones with a top-of-the-line technical card but at a much lower price than the various Galaxy Note 9, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and iPhone Xs. As mentioned, on board the Galaxy S10 Lite we will have the Exynos 9820 chipset supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The display will be 5.8 inches with FullHD+ resolution and will not be curved at the edges. The screen will be the new Infinity-O that has a hole in the top right corner where the 8 Megapixel front camera will be inserted. At the back we will have a dual camera with a 12 Megapixel main sensor with a 1.4 focal aperture.
New features for the fingerprint sensor as well. The Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will have the ultrasonic sensor inserted in the screen, while the Galaxy S10 Lite will have a physical sensor inserted on the side near the button to turn on the smartphone. The battery will be 3100mAh.
When the Galaxy S10 Lite comes out
The Galaxy S10 range is expected to be unveiled during the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, but we’ll have to wait until the second week of March for marketing.
