Fortnite Chapter 2: Too many hours needed for Battle Pass

The Battle Pass of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 is creating more than a few problems for Epic Games. Too many hours to complete all the missions

The hype created by Epic Games around the release of Fortnite Chapter 2 is starting to create the first problems for the software house. The reason is very simple: to complete the Battle Pass of Season 1 of Chapter 2 of the video game you have to play too many hours. According to the first calculations of the players, more than 300 hours are needed to finish the Battle Pass, much more than in the past. It took a few days for the protest to mount on social media and arrive directly to Epic Games. Which is now forced to deal with the first crisis of Fortnite Chapter 2.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 fans and enthusiasts are in turmoil and are clamoring for a return to the past, in particular, to the old glory of the Battle Pass. The release of the long-awaited Chapter 2 has initiated a new era of Fortnite. There are many new features introduced, starting with the controversial new Battle Royale mode, passing through a gameplay and graphics significantly improved, up to a brand new game map overturned than in the past, as well as the ability to engage in water games, to use speedboats to move and to activate new forms of cooperation to help players to face opponents on the field.

Battle Royale: what’s up

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 fans went into a tizzy when they realized that completing the new Battle Pass seems like an impossible task. The experience points provided during matches are not enough to finish the Battle Pass, and on Reddit there are calls to restore the old progression mode used to accumulate experience points as soon as possible or, at least, to improve and optimize the current system in place.

Fortnite Chapter 2: the new Battle Royale

Currently, according to calculations made by some users are required about 300 hours of play to bring the pass to level 100 and consequently unlock all the rewards up for grabs. Even completing all the weekly and daily challenges according to the most avid fans would still not be possible to complete the new Battle Pass.

Battle Royale Fortnite Chapter 2: fan protests

The new system designed by Epic Games was immediately questioned as it is more cumbersome and less fun than in the past. The crux of the controversy lies in the so-called “grind” (playing for many hours to accumulate resources and points) that, instead of being eliminated, as announced by the developers of Fortnite with the motto “less grind, more fun”, has become, apparently, fundamental and of primary importance.

Many suspect that this new “course” was wanted to “entice” players to buy the levels of the Battle Pass paying with real money. This is a ploy that in previous seasons was never necessary and was only used by those players who, due to a prolonged absence, wanted to make up for lost time.
