Fitbit launches a new version of its thinnest fitness tracker: it integrates the heart rate monitor and always keeps your physical activity under control
Despite being the industry leader Fitbit does not stop producing wearables with increasingly interesting features. After making official the acquisition of Pebble and announcing the landing in the world of smartwatches, the U.S. company has launched the new Fitbit Alta HR, a very lightweight fitness tracker that also integrates the heart rate monitor.
The Alta series is mainly dedicated to people who are looking for an activity tracker very light and that does not give too much discomfort to the arm. In the new version, Fitbit has also introduced new features that allow the Alta fitness tracker to keep up with the times and with that of the competition’s wearables. In addition to the small OLED screen that allows you to keep track of the time and key statistics, Fitbit Alta HR also allows you to monitor your heart rate so you know at all times if there is something wrong.

The fitness tracker also allows you to receive notifications from your smartphone directly on the small OLED screen: you will know at all times who sent you messages on WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. Thanks to SmartTrack technology, however, it will not be necessary to report what physical activity you are doing, the fitness tracker will directly recognize it. Fitbit Alta HR also monitors the quality of sleep and allows you to set silent alarm clocks. The battery has a duration of more than seven days. Fitbit Alta HR can be purchased directly on the site of the U.S. company at a price of 149.99 euros.
