Digital terrestrial 2.0 continues the transition: some channels change

The work for the DVB-T2 digital terrestrial continues: here are the channels that change frequency and where to tune

After the provinces of Sassari and Oristano, in January, and those of Liguria, in February, it is now the turn of Tuscany: new change of digital terrestrial channels in the province of Massa Carrara, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno and Grosseto. Next month it will be the turn of Lazio: Viterbo, Rome and Latina.

The frequencies involved, in the case of Tuscany, are those of the MUX DFree and Mediaset 1. As in the other phases of the switch off to the second generation DVB-T2 digital terrestrial, even in this case on TVs and decoders of the latest generation will be sufficient to do an automatic retuning to continue to see the same channels and listen to the same radio as before. Chi ha apparecchi di vecchia generazione, invece, potrebbe essere costretto a cercare i canali uno ad uno inserendo la relativa frequenza. Ecco quali sono i canali Tv e le radio interessati e i rispettivi canali assegnati.

Switch off digital terrestrial DVB T-2: the next steps

The switchover to DVB-T2 involves a progressive plan for the release of frequencies in the 700 MHz band, which have already been assigned to telephone operators for the implementation of the 5G network and which must be released by June 30, 2022 throughout Italy. The switch-off (and consequent displacement) of channels 50 and 52 has already been completed in Oristano and Sassari, while there is time until May 8 in Imperia, Savona, Genoa and La Spezia.

From April 20 to May 30, it is the turn of Massa Carrara, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno and Grosseto, and from May 4 to 30 it will be the turn of Viterbo, Rome and Latina. At the same time, channels 51 and 53 will be switched off: from 4th to 30th May they will be switched off in all the above mentioned provinces. In the same period, in the rest of Italy, will be performed the operations of switching off the frequencies of the network operators in the local area.
