So romantic dating accompanies the path back to normalcy and reopenings: dating apps, how “live” dating changes.
The opening of a restaurant dedicated to live dating by Bumble is another important step along the path of reopenings. But, if the concept of a dating app (or, in English, dating app) has now spread to all segments of the population, the same may not have happened with Bumble, which perhaps suffers from competition from the more famous Tinder. What are we talking about? And why is the opening of a restaurant dedicated to those who have already had the opportunity to introduce themselves in chat a sign of changing times? Let’s go step by step.
What is Bumble
Bumble is the dating app where it’s up to the woman to make the first move. Unlike Tinder, where, after a mutual “like” you have the possibility to access a chat, through which the two interested parties can interact, in Bumble is only the woman who can write first. A choice that evidently pleases the 40 million users that the social can boast. Founded in 2014 by Whitney Wolfe Herd (who also created Tinder, making singles – and more – her “core business”), Bumble has made its creator the youngest company head to list her creature on the stock exchange. Herd is also among the 100 most influential people in the world according to Time’s rankings, and Bumble is worth $8 billion.
How Bumble decided to take a leap into reality
The app becomes “real” via the Bumble Brew, which is located in New York and will open its doors on July 24. The Float Studio designed it with 80 seats just for breakfast and later also for lunch and dinner. With its spaces protected from prying eyes, the Bumble Brew is a natural evolution of the so-called “Bumble Hive”, or locations in the real world, where you can continue a live meeting born within the app.
All of this is important because it marks a turning point in the world of romantic dating after the pandemic phase, when Tinder, for example, introduced video calls to enable users to take the process of getting to know each other a step further without failing to comply with quarantine and distancing obligations. The opening of a location where you can physically meet, in short, is good news for the return to normalcy. Even of romantic dating.
The world of dating apps is full of new things, however. For example, Tinder has introduced a feature that allows users to block exes. Speaking of getting to know each other in chat, here are a few tips for starting a conversation on Tinder.
