If you want to add a splash of color to the walls of your home, instead of calling the painter take a look at this latest IoT innovation. Nanoleaf, a Canadian company, has launched Aurora, a set of smart LED panels that attach to the wall.

The smart panels have a triangular shape, connect to each other via a microchip and are able to change color. In fact, it will be enough to connect the device to the electricity and the LED panels will start to light up. Users can also choose the design and shape to be given to the smart composition. The set normally consists of nine panels to which others can be added. Each panel also can be illuminated by any color combination, you can also choose different shades and hues. Finally, it is also possible to “animate” the set of smart lights.

Aurora can be controlled by smartphone

An important feature is the possibility to control the set of LED panels directly from the smartphone. Nanoleaf, in fact, has made available an app (both for Android and iOS) with which users can choose the color combination, increase and decrease the brightness and also adjust the speed of the animation of each individual panel.

The device also features a button that allows you to manage the lighting even without using your cell phone. The IoT device is also compatible with Apple’s smart home system, HomeKit. The set of LED lights can be purchased for $199, while if you want to add panels, for the three-pack the dollars to spend are $59.
