The preorders of Xbox Series X have begun: even in Italy you can now buy one copy and wait for delivery. Probably wait not a little, because it is clear to all that the number of next-gen consoles available (not only Xbox, but also PlayStation 5), in the early days will not be high.
So much so that Microsoft’s competitor, Sony, has already had to apologize publicly for the small number of PS5 available at this early stage. The fact is that from today it is at least possible to pre-order a new console from Microsoft, via several online stores. From today are available for pre-order not only the Xbox Series X but also the Series S, cheaper model and lower performance. The deliveries, officially, will not take place before November 10, the day in which we will really know if the price of Xbox Series X is the right one and, above all, how they run the new next-gen games.
How to pre-order Xbox Series X
Xbox Series X is available for pre-order on the official website of Xbox, on the Microsoft Store, on Amazon and from the site of several consumer electronics chains, including Italian. Within a few hours, however, the pieces available on Amazon are already finished.
The same is true on the Microsoft Store, while a few Xboxes can still be found on the sites of the electronics chains, listed on the Microsoft site. The problem of this situation is mainly one: the Microsoft Store was the only place where, in addition to the console, it was also possible to buy accessories.
Xbox Series X: prices and speculations
We remind everyone that the official price of Xbox Series X is 499 euros, while that of Xbox Series S is 299 euros. Any lower price is a scam, any higher price is an attempt at speculation similar to those already seen for PlayStation 5.
In recent days, in fact, on eBay some users have managed to place several pre-orders of PS5 to thousands and thousands of euros and there have been gamers who, in order to get their hands as soon as possible on this next-generation console, have participated in the auction and paid absurd amounts of money.
Xbox Series X: games and backward compatibility
Maybe being in too much of a hurry to buy an Xbox Series X isn’t the best thing either. Microsoft’s next-gen backward compatibility with previous games is extensive, thousands of titles, but new games optimized for Xbox Series X are still few.
Some, like Far Cry 6, won’t arrive until February 2021. Others, like Nba 2K21, are already out and born compatible with the new consoles (but we’ll only see the result when the consoles get into the hands of gamers). However, the list of games for Xbox Series X is quite long, even if they are not all here yet.
