With the arrival of the new iOS 12 mobile operating system, Apple has a great news in store for its users: over 70 new emoji that will be released with the iOS 12.1 version. At the moment, Cupertino’s cute little faces are only available for beta subscribers and in the coming days they will be released on all Apple devices.
The more than 70 new Apple emoticons will cover all categories. From new emoji designed for food to the inclusion of new faces with gray, red and no hair. For Apple this is yet another addition to its long list of custom emoji for mobile devices such as iPhone and iPad. On the other hand, it should be remembered that emoji are currently the most used language in the world to communicate with smartphones. In social media, in messaging applications and in various online sites, every day we all use lots of smilies to express feelings, moods or to make our posts funnier. Here are the funniest emoticons designed by Apple for iOS 12.1.
The new 70 emoticons on iOS 12
From a travel blogger’s suitcase to the moon cake, from the red letter of greetings (typical of Japanese culture) to the bald black person and the nazar amulet. There are many funny and useful emoticons that Apple will release with the iOS 12.1 update. As for sports we will find a skateboard, a Frisbee, the lacrosse ball and bat and a baseball. But there is also a hiking boot. There are also many new emoji of animals, such as the llama, the mosquito, the swan and the raccoon, which join the kangaroo, the lobster, the parrot and the peacock already previewed at the World Emoji Day by Apple itself. On the food side, however, we find the bagel, lettuce, cupcakes and mango. Cupertino’s new emoji characters are created based on Unicode 11.0-approved characters. Apple is working with the Unicode Consortium, which regulates the release of new emoticons, to add more disability-themed emoji to the keyboard for Unicode 12, with release expected in 2019.
