Android 10 allows you to record your smartphone screen and share the video with your friends. Here’s how to do it
Do you want to make a short video with your Android screen recording? Whether you want to film a conversation between friends, play a video game or create a professional video, smartphones and tablets will help you achieve your goal.
Then you can enhance the video, perhaps by adding a spoken explanation of what you showed or music in the background. You could then post it to a YouTube channel, social media, or send it privately to a contact of yours. Yes, that’s exactly what you want, but what are the procedures to follow? If you have an LG or Samsung device with Android 10, you’re in luck: you have the function built into the operating system. The steps are simple and in the article we explain how to do it. Alternatively, you can rely on one of the many applications available on Google Play Store. And even in this case, we present you the most functional and especially free.
How to record the screen on Android 10
The ability to record the screen arrives within the beta version of Android 10, unfortunately Google has eliminated this feature in the final version of the operating system, so it is absent in most devices. Fortunately, the UI designers of Samsung and LG have reinserted the feature. Those who have a device from these brands running Android 10 can therefore record the screen by following a simple procedure.
To start, you need to access Quick Settings by swiping your finger from top to bottom on the main screen of your smartphone and click on Screen recorder (those who use English options will have to select the Screen recorder item).
After selecting the function, you have to tap the Start button. At this point, after a countdown, the screen recording will actually start. Remember that you may need to give some permissions to the device, for example, access to the recorder. Protected content, such as Netflix content, cannot be recorded, so the screen will turn black if you try to record a series or a small snippet of a movie.
When the recording is finished, just tap the Stop button. Some Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy Note, also allow you to add front camera footage or use the S Pen to draw on the screen while the phone is recording. In this case, you need to tap the pencil icon to activate the feature.
If you don’t find the Screen Recording item within Quick Settings on your device, make sure you have Android 10 updated. If you don’t have the operating system, you can always rely on one of the many apps available on the Google Play Store.
Apps to record screen on Android
There are many apps that allow you to film the display of your Android smartphone or tablet. One of the most famous is AZ Screen Recorder, which can be downloaded for free from the store. The videos have no time limit, it does not show overlays, has no ads and is very easy to use. It also allows you to pause the movie and resume it later, even producing it in HD, time-lapse or slow-motion.
If you want to record a video game, you can rely on the Google Play Games app. It is a tool designed especially for those who like to play online with their friends. You can challenge your contacts, share your achievements, create your player profile and keep track of all your activities in Android gaming apps. But the most important thing is that this application also lets you record the most important game moments and send them to your friends. In short, on Google Play Store you can find a solution for every need. So if you don’t have Android 10, don’t lose heart and record your screen with an external tool.
