Bragi tries again on Kickstarter: with Dash Pro you will be able to have real-time translations and manage actions with a movement of the head
Before the AirPods, and smart in-ear headphones, the market was shaken by the company Bragi which had launched on Kickstarter Dash headphones that could perform several actions in addition to playing music and calls. The Dash earbuds were not very successful and now Bragi is trying again with the Dash Pro.
The Dash failed in part because of unconfirmed expectations. These according to Bragi could measure health conditions, such as fever or heart rate, and physical activity or control gadgets or apps with a simple gesture of the head. However, not all of these functions were eventually granted to users. Now Bragi is trying again with a real ear computer, ear-puter. The device is called Dash Pro and according to the words of the developers is the final version, which has improved all the problems recorded on the previous headphones of the company. On Kickstarter at the moment these smart earbuds cost about 320 euros.
How Dash Pro headphones work
According to the first details the Dash Pro pairs very quickly with smartphones or any other device. They have a battery that lasts 5 hours, twice as long as the previous model. A new audio technology allows you to hear both music and the world around you in unison. In addition, the input voice for calls has been improved.
Real-Time Translation
The new operating system also introduces two of the most futuristic features Bragi has been talking about for years: namely, real-time translation, through a partnership with the iTranslate app, and a gesture interface that allows you to control music simply by moving your head. In addition, they will soon be compatible with personal assistants like Amazon’s Alexa, so you can perform actions or conduct searches directly from the headset. In short, wireless headphones are turning into computers per ear, will this be the time for Bragi?
