OnePlus 6T on launch ramp: presentation on January 15, 2019

The Chinese company has announced the presentation of its new top-of-the-line smartphone. Will it be the first one with 5G connection?

OnePlus announced on its official Weibo profile, the famous Chinese social media, that it will present its new smartphone on January 15, 2019: OnePlus 6T. Along with the announcement, the Chinese company also published a small preview photo in which you can see the top of the screen.

More than the design, however, to keep users on their toes is the 5G connection. Along with Oppo (the two companies are part of the same group and have worked together on the development), OnePlus is among the Asian companies closest to the launch of this new technology. According to previous predictions, OnePlus was planning to launch the first smartphone in its range with 5G connectivity in the first half of 2019. So fans are now wondering if the Chinese company will respect the initial plans and therefore if we will see OnePlus 6T with 5G connectivity. For OnePlus, it would be a big blow since it would win the competition of other Asian manufacturers who have promised 5G within a few months, such as Vivo, Xiaomi and Lenovo.

How will the OnePlus 6T

We return instead to the design of the device that, as it emerges from the first small photo shown by OnePlus, will be very similar to its predecessors. The screen will be Full-View and bezel-less, while there are two integrated physical buttons. Surprisingly, there may not be the notch from the reduced shape, which is so fashionable on the models of the affiliated company Oppo. On board we will find the Snapdragon 845, the same SoC of the OnePlus 6, with 6 or 8 GB of RAM combined with 64, 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. Identical also the photographic compartment: two main sensors in the rear 16 and 20 megapixels with focal aperture 1.7 and a front 16-megapixel and focal aperture 2.0. Almost certainly the device will run with the latest version of Android 9 Pie.
