The Cupertino-based company is trying to fix the Bluetooth bug: iPhones 7 and 7 Plus wouldn’t be able to connect with Android wearables
Have you tried to pair a smartwatch with your iPhone 7 and couldn’t? Rest assured, you’re not alone. But the next OS update should set things right. In fact, Apple is reportedly ready to launch iOS 10.1 which promises to improve Bluetooth connectivity.
The problems surface especially when you try to merge an Android wearable device with the iPhone 7. In fact, Apple’s products have never gotten along with those of its competitors. According to what is circulating on the network to cause the problem would be a bug within the Packet Length Extension function of Bluetooth 4.2. In realtà questo non è il primo tentativo con cui Cupertino cerca di risolvere questi problemi. Apple infatti aveva provato a rimediare con iOS 10.0.2 senza però riuscire nel suo intento. Gli iPhone presentati al mondo appena il mese scorso hanno continuato ad avere problemi di connessione con alcuni wearable, come ad esempio lo smartwatch prodotto dall’azienda americana Motorola, il Moto 360 e quello realizzato dalla cinese Huawei. The same problems also occurred with the Pebble watch, the wearable that uses e-paper technology in its displays.
The iPhone 7 also had difficulties with the Bluetooth of some cars. This is the case of BMW owners who, after operating the Connect Drive via the applephone, had their music tracks rejected by the system. The strange thing is that these problems have also involved the Bluetooth of cars that have CarPlay, the tool that reproduces the iPhone features on the screens installed in some cars.
