The frequencies of digital terrestrial channels are still changing, with broadcasters coming and MUXes going: the update to date.
Many changes to the frequencies of digital terrestrial have occurred in recent days, even at Easter, in the MUXes of digital terrestrial in various Italian regions. Once again, these are changes to the frequencies of regional broadcasters, which in recent months have undergone several shifts in view of the switch off from the old standard to the new second generation digital terrestrial DVB-T2.
The largest number of changes this time is in the MUXes that broadcast in Sicily, but there are also minor changes in Sardinia and other Italian regions, especially in Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy and Veneto. Six months after the mandatory change in encoding (on September 1, 2021 all broadcasters will have to transmit only in MPEG 4 H.264
Digitale Terrestre: frequency changes in Sicily
In the MUX Retecapri in Sicily the channels Prima TV and Tele Jonica are now broadcast in MPEG 4 H.264 encoding. After the scrapping of the homonymous MUX, CTS in Palermo is now broadcast on the MUX 7 Gold Sicilia and Retecapri Sicilia, always at LCN 90.
In the MUX Retecapri the broadcaster Tremedia has been inserted, while in the MUX 7 Gold Sicilia 99 it is now possible to see also La Tr3, in high resolution. Rei TV, Tremedia and Telesicilia MUXes have been switched off and their frequencies have been scrapped.
Digitale Terrestre: frequency changes in other regions
In Valle d’Aosta, Piemonte, Lombardia and Veneto the broadcaster Fascino TV changes logo, but remains available at LCN 231 on MUX Rete A 2. In the same Italian regions the broadcaster Zeta TV (LCN 239) is now also present with a duplicate (LCN 269). In both cases transmission is in H.264.
In Lombardy Rete 7 has been added to the Regina Po MUX, in addition to the duplicate of Valpadana TV. In Sardinia the MUX TV Europa and TCS Tele Costa Smeralda have been switched off, with scrapping of the frequencies.
