With the free Sky VR App it will be possible to have a 360° view of the great sporting events, films and documentaries of the television platform
Who among us has never dreamed of being right next to Andrea Pirlo while he was about to beat one of his penalties? Or being involved in one of the scenes of Star Wars? From today all this will be possible thanks to Sky VR. Even TV lands in virtual reality.
Inside the scene.
Forget the old TV saying “from the comfort of your sofa at home”. With Sky VR, television changes one of its main concepts and takes the viewer inside the scene. A 360° view of sporting events, films but also plays and documentaries. David Beckham will run a special designed just for the App on the main moments of sport. It will be possible to watch, from an unprecedented view, the ballet Giselle.

There are several countries where Sky VR is available, from the UK, to Italy, and then Germany, Austria, Australia, New Zealand and the United States. To get the most out of the Sky VR App, and not in 2D, you’ll need to own a Samsung Gear VR, or alternatively an Oculus Rift or Google Cardboard. The latter will be given away by Sky to all Sky Backstage visitors on October 20 at The 02 in London.
