Huawei launches the P Smart S, mid-range smartphone with a low-cost price. Kirin 710F processor with 4GB of RAM. Price of 249 euros
After the P Smart 2020 and P Smart Pro Huawei completes the range with the new P Smart S, smartphone with a low price but interesting features. Just presented, the Huawei P Smart S is a candidate for the throne of the mid-range, ideal for all users who want substance at the right price and are willing to give up Google Mobile Services.
To positively affect, given the price, is the 6.3-inch AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution and fingerprint reader integrated into the display. The rest of the technical features, however, is good but basically average for the market and, of course, the network connection is in 4G, because the SoC does not support 5G and there is no dedicated modem to handle the new networks. More effort, however, could be made on the USB connection and consequently on charging, which is fast but not too much compared to other similarly priced smartphones. But, overall, the new Huawei P Smart S is in full Huawei style: right price, high-level features.
Huawei P Smart S: technical specifications
The new Huawei P Smart S is based on the proprietary SoC Hisilicon Kirin 710F, an octacore with 4 Cortex A72 cores at 2.2 GHz and as many Cortex A53 1.7 GHz, flanked by a Mali G51-MP4 GPU. RAM is 4 GB and ROM is 128 GB, expandable to 256GB with NM SD card. Huawei P Smart S: price and release
The new Huawei P Smart S is already available both on Huawei’s website and in store, with Android Open Source (AOSP), EMUI 10.1 and Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) instead of Google Mobile Services, due to Donald Trump’s well-known ban that prevents Huawei from implementing Google’s proprietary technology under license.
