From 5 pm on November 7 the Fixed Wireless Broadband operator is out of use in the major Italian cities. The causes are still unknown
The first problems were reported at about 5 p.m. on November 7 and, even if in alternating phases, have been going on for a few hours now. Linkem is down and hundreds of users can neither make calls (and obviously receive them) nor surf online. The Fixed Wireless Broadband service doesn’t work and we still can’t understand exactly why.
Sifting through the services of the sector we discover that most of the reports concern the wireless connectivity service. Specifically, the problems are concentrated in the big Italian cities: most of the problems seem to concern the users in Milan, but an (almost) analogous number of malfunctions are recorded also in Rome, Naples and Catania. In short, Linkem is down a bit everywhere in our country and users are waiting for technicians to unravel the skein and solve the situation as soon as possible.
Why Linkem is not working on November 7, what we know
As mentioned, the causes that led to Linkem down are not yet known. Checking the map of reports, however, it is possible to assume similar reasons to those of Iliad down. In the evening of November 7, in fact, even the French mobile operator has recorded several problems, preventing its users to make and receive calls or surf the Internet.
It is possible to assume that also the network of Linkem antennas and repeaters has had problems of technical nature and of great importance, which have knocked out Linkem services throughout the Peninsula. At the moment it is not yet possible to hypothesize when the malfunctions that have sent Linkem down will return permanently. It is possible that already in the next few minutes the situation will definitively improve, but it is unfortunately not possible to exclude that some hours will be necessary before the situation will be definitively restored.
