Iliad users can download two apps on their Android smartphone to manage their SIM card: here’s what they are and what they do
Among the many services Iliad makes available to users, there are also official apps that allow access to exclusive features. On the Google Play Store there are two apps developed directly by Iliad: Iliad Visual Answering Machine and Mobile Config. The app that allows you to manage your SIM card, your subscription and your remaining credit is not present. And the reason is very simple: at least at this early stage, the fourth phone operator did not want to release an official app. Instead, it has created a personal area that is very easy to use and can also be reached from mobile.
Mobile Config is an app known to all Iliad users: you need to install it to quickly configure your card and your phone network from your Android smartphone. Iliad Visual Answering Machine, as the name suggests, allows you to manage the messages you receive on your voicemail and answer them directly via the app. Here are the official Iliad apps to install on your Android smartphone.
Iliad Consumption App
As mentioned above, there is no official Iliad app available to check the consumption and remaining credit of your SIM card. If by any chance you find apps that promise to manage your Iliad subscription, don’t install them. As they are not the official ones of the phone operator they could hide viruses, or steal your personal data.
To check the remaining credit, available gigas and the tariff plan of your Iliad SIM card you can use the Personal Area. The credentials are provided as soon as you subscribe with the phone operator. The Personal Area is accessible from both PC and smartphone, without any display problem for the user. To check the remaining credit and the meters of your subscription, just access your profile and click on the menu item “Consumption and credit”. In the Personal Area you can activate or deactivate some options of your subscription, or check the active services.
Iliad Visual Answering Machine
The answering machine is one of the services included in the Iliad subscription. To better manage the messages received in voicemail you can install on Android (on iPhone it is natively supported) the Iliad Visual Answering Machine app. Installing the application and entering your personal data you can listen to your voicemail messages and decide whether to respond by SMS or immediately call back the person who called you. The application also offers other services and features that allow you to make the most of your Iliad subscription.
Mobile Config
The most downloaded official Iliad app is definitely Mobile Config. This is an application to install on your Android smartphone to make the configuration of the Iliad network automatic. Once the card is inserted, the smartphone will prompt you to download the application to speed up the SIM configuration regarding Internet and MMS parameters.
