Microsoft updates Skype introducing a very important novelty: you can make video calls and interact with your friends even without having an account. The Redmond company has developed a web-based application that will allow you to temporarily use the instant messaging application.
A very important new feature that completely changes the way you use Skype: the goal is very clear, to increase the number of users who access the service every day. In order to use Skype without having to create a Microsoft account and download the client for your personal computer is very simple, just go to the website of the service and click on the button “Start a conversation” and then enter your name. You’ll receive a link to share with the contact with whom you want to start a conversation or a video call. Simple, easy and above all fast.
Skype chats become temporary
The only drawback is the duration of the chats: in fact, the conversations after 24 hours will be deleted permanently. The only way to reactivate them is to subscribe to the instant messaging application. The new feature of Skype will be released with different timing depending on whether you live in Italy or abroad. The choice made by Microsoft is part of a larger project of restructuring of communication services for both private and professional users (see the social Microsoft Teams launched a few weeks ago and aimed at companies around the world. At the moment, the new Skype feature is active only for desktop computers, notebooks and hybrid tablets.
