According to analyst Jeff Pu, iPhone 14 Pro could rely on more RAM and an incredibly high-performance camera: here’s why
It’s still too early to speculate, but curiosity is always high when it comes to Apple and its iPhone models. Just a few months after the debut of iPhone 13, many are wondering how its successor could be. In fact, several rumors have already been spread about the possible features and technical specifications of iPhone 14 Pro. Rumors, in this case, that seem reliable because they come from a good source.
The biggest hope is that it is abandoned the so-called notch, the famous “notch” never really entered the hearts of fans of the bitten apple, and for years made fun of by Android users. This could imply, for the first time in its history, the pursuit of Apple against other manufacturers, with the adoption of perforated displays or under-screen cameras and the likely renunciation of Face ID technology. The latest news, however, focuses on completely different aspects and, in particular, on the main camera, the chipset, the amount of memory, as well as the refresh rate of the display.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro: cameras
The leaked rumors concern only the Pro variant of the iPhone 14. In fact, GF Securities analyst Jeff Pu has speculated on some of the main features of the future most powerful model in the range.
In line with the statements of his colleague, Ming-Chi Kuo, he has in fact stated that the photographic compartment could consist of between lenses: a 48 MP wide main one and two 12 MP secondary ones, with ultra-wide and telephoto capabilities. These features should allow it to record movies in 8K resolution and take photos of incredible quality.
Just think that the iPhone 13 sports a main lens of only 12 MP, which however allow it to be considered among the best in terms of photographic quality. Apple has always managed to get the best out of its sensors thanks to its outstanding iOS operating system, and it’s safe to expect that it can do even better with a sensor with 4 times the resolution.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro: the hardware features
The improvements will certainly not be limited to the camera and Jeff Pu also claims that iPhone 14 Pro could count on a RAM memory of at least 8 GB, along with a new powerful chipset that will have to keep at bay the overflowing Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 of Android competitors (not counting the variable MediaTek Dimensity 9000).
Turning to the internal memory, however, said that there should also be a variant with 64 GB memory, which is unlikely by virtue of 128 GB from which the basic version of the iPhone 13.
Last, but not least, are his assumptions about the display that, on each new model of the 14 series, should have a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Others believe that this feature will be present only on the Pro models, which would also sport a punch-hole screen, i.e. no notch.
