Here is the top ten of the smartphones compatible with 5G networks best sellers in the world: the first position is a surprise, but also the second.
The 5G is still in its infancy, with a network to “lay” still in much of the world, but it is already time for rankings. Counterpoint, an Asian company that deals with market analysis in strategic sectors such as technology, has drawn up a list of the best-selling 5G smartphones in the world.
The data released in recent days by Counterpoint refer to the end of October and this, if we consider which is the best-selling smartphone in the world according to the research, is amazing: this smartphone is in fact the iPhone 12 that, at the end of October, had been on the market for just 15 days. This means that the sales of iPhone 12 started immediately strong and that this device is a candidate for the record, it could become one of the best selling smartphones ever.
- Apple iPhone 12 (16%)
- Apple iPhone 12 Pro (8%)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G (4%)
- Huawei Nova 7 5G (3%)
- Huawei P40 5G (3%)
- Oppo A72 5G (3%)
- Huawei P40 Pro 5G (3%)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G (2%)
- Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G (2%)
- Oppo Reno 4 SE (2%)
Come interpretare i dati
La cosa che salta subito all’occhio è la somma della percentuale di mercato di iPhone 12 e 12 Pro: 24%. This means that one out of every four 5G smartphones sold in the world is an Apple phone, an incredible result given the only 15 days of marketing at the time of writing the ranking and also given the fact that Apple’s 5G has been waiting.
One consideration, however, must be made: these percentages may not last long. 5G, in fact, is a feature currently reserved mostly for the top of the range (and was even more so in October 2020). The first budget 5G smartphones are coming now and they’re certainly not Apple-branded.
By spring 2021, the supply of mid-range and low-cost 5G smartphones will be plentiful, and the percentages will change a lot from those photographed by Counterpoint.
