Friends who post too often and pages that spam? There are various solutions to remedy this, you can choose to do it manually or using special applications
We all have friends who post on Facebook all the time. Selfies, moods or positions and news. And then there are those pages that post non-stop. No need to delete friends, just a few steps are enough to get back a fairly “clean” Facebook Home experience.
How to clean up your Home. The problem with having friends in your News Feed who are constantly posting funny or kitten videos is that after a while being on Facebook becomes boring. Or we could miss interesting news and offers, dispersed in that mass of selfies and posts. If the “problem” is not too serious, we can solve it manually with a few small steps. Just click in the little arrow in the upper right corner on a post that does not interest us. Here we can select several options. Choose whether to hide that person’s posts and stay friends, hide similar news or hide everything that comes from a specific page.
Use a specific app
Even while using the Facebook mobile app we can choose the same options listed above. The method is the same: just select the little arrow present in the posts. If, however, there are too many spam-loving friends or pages to solve the problem manually, we’ll have to rely on an application. One of the most recommended in this sense is FB Purity. This is available as an extension for Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera and Maxthon. Once downloaded, all you have to do is restart your browser for it to work. By default, the app will hide all news items considered as spam, and show you all hidden ones. In case you miss the posts about kittens. Obviously using different keywords and settings you can choose what not to show up on your News Feed and what instead can be interesting. The only flaw is that it doesn’t work for mobile.
