IPhone 13 arrives tomorrow, but we already know what iPhone 14 will look like

IPhone 13 is not yet official, but despite this the first “full-bodied” rumors about iPhone 14 are starting to emerge with some very interesting news

The “traditionalist” Apple will present the new iPhone 13 tomorrow, but incredibly we already know what iPhone 14 will look like. Traditionalist because while the Android universe moves compactly towards releasing a top of the line every six months (sometimes even sooner), Apple releases one revision a year of its iPhones.

Some might argue that even companies like Samsung update their top of the line once a year, which is true. Were it not for the fact that Samsung (and company) has several lines of top of the line devices, unlike Apple which only has iPhones as its “standard-bearer”, so it’s not surprising that Apple’s tops are highly anticipated by tech enthusiasts. Surprising, however, is that despite the annual update cycle, even now an iPhone 14 somehow came out. The credit is the informant Jon Prosser, usually sufficiently reliable about the moves of Apple.

Away with the notch from iPhone 14

Prosser has distributed a render that shows clearly how it should be the iPhone 14 “standard” (or the Pro, looking at the three cameras on the back). To surprise, in addition to the timing, are the solutions that Apple would have planned for its “top” of 2022, one of all: the lack of the notch.

From the render you can clearly see the lack of the “notch”, ie the black band that is on the current iPhone in correspondence of the earpiece and will be maintained (but reduced) on the iPhone 13, because it contains the components necessary for the secure unlocking system with the face, the Face ID.

So the Face ID will not be part of the iPhone 14? It’s not possible to say at the moment. Some suggest that Apple would be working to place the hardware needed for face unlocking below the display, while others claim that Cupertino is considering bringing back Touch ID, the fingerprint unlocking system that would be placed below the display.

The selfie camera will remain visible on the iPhone 14, judging by the render: the technology to place it under the screen as on ZTE Axon 30 or Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 seems to be perfectible, and Apple has shown in recent years to adopt a technology only when it meets the strict quality standards of the Apple, and it would not be the case of the camera under the screen, at least not for 2022.

The other two curious aspects that emerge from the render of the iPhone 14 are the rear camera group flush with the body, in contrast with what should happen on the iPhone 13 where they should protrude in a fairly visible, and the return to the circular shape for the volume keys, in a sort of “nostalgia” operation to the iPhone 4 and 4s to which iPhone 14, the one of this render, resembles to tell the truth quite a lot.

On iPhone 14 8K video

According to rumors that emerged in recent weeks, iPhone 14 should have a 48-megapixel camera capable of capturing 8K video and the frame that could be made using titanium. However, iPhone 14 rumors are just getting started – we’ll certainly get to hear about it again.
