Sony SRS-NS7 is the 3D Bluetooth speaker that you can wear

Sony launches a new Bluetooth speaker that can be worn: what are the features and price of the Sony SRS-NS7

A cinema to wear. So Sony presented its new Bluetooth speaker that can be worn to listen to music and watch your favorite movies. The speaker makes its debut along with the wireless transmitter, which can also be used with some models of the Japanese company’s headphones.

The Sony SRS-NS7 is the first wearable speaker that is compatible with the Dolby Atmos standard and Bravia XR smart TV models. The wireless speaker is equipped with Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound technology, which, thanks to the 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer app, allows you to enjoy superior audio quality. The design is elegant and practical: just place the speaker around your neck on the shoulders and comfort is guaranteed by the silicone headband with soft coating. It is also IP4X certified for resistance against water splashes. In short, sitting on the couch at home you can enjoy an immersive audio experience in front of your favorite movies and TV series.

Sony SRS-N7: the design

Let’s start from the elegant and functional design: the Sony SRS-NS7 is an ergonomic and flexible silicone headband to be placed behind the neck that can be easily cleaned after daily use. The fabric finish offers a pleasant feeling in contact with the skin and the weight of just 319 grams allows you to forget about having it around your neck.

Sony SRS-N7: features

The neck speaker is compatible with Dolby Atmos surround sound and thanks to the 360 Spatial Sound technology allows you to reproduce at home an enveloping cinema effect and get a better synchronicity between the images on TV and the audio. In addition, the presence of an X-Balanced Speaker Unit allows you to enjoy an immersive experience without disturbing those around. One of the best new features is the 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer app, which analyzes the shape of the wearer’s earcup to create the perfect virtual Dolby Atmos speaker structure and calibrate the sound in a personalized way. Two passive radiators positioned just to the side of the speakers handle low frequencies, and the built-in microphone allows for calls as well.

Connectivity is provided by the WLA-NS7 wireless transmitter that comes with the headband and Bluetooth 5.0. Multipoint technology allows you to connect two devices at once, such as your smartphone and computer, so you can go from watching a movie to making a phone call in seconds and without having to reconnect each time. The IPX4 rating ensures water splash resistance, while the battery offers up to 12 hours of battery life with the volume set to 16. Fast charging via USB-C port allows you to gain 60 minutes of operation in just 10 minutes.

WLA-NS7: compatible Sony headphones

The WLA-NS7 transmitter comes with the SRS-NS7 wearable speaker, but will also be sold individually, as it can be used to connect Bravia XR smart TVs with compatible Sony headphones and enjoy audio in the 360 Spatial Sound format. The compatible Sony headphones are: WH-1000XM3, WF-1000XM3, WI-1000XM2, WH-1000XM4, WF-1000XM4, WH-XB900N, WH-XB700, WH-H910N, WH-H810, WF-C500 and WH-XB910N.
