A strange problem is afflicting Iliad users. When making international calls to the area codes included in your subscription (i.e. free international calls), the conversation suddenly drops just before 20 minutes. For no apparent reason. Most likely many of you have not even noticed, but it is an anomaly that our colleagues at UniversoFree have discovered, after reports from some Iliad customers.
The phone operator has been notified of the inconvenience and is already working to resolve the issue. This is certainly not an issue that affects millions of users, but it is still a strange anomaly that needs to be resolved. With the end of roaming charges, more and more people are using their smartphones for international calls, and Iliad is one of the fastest growing operators in the last period, and will surely have as customers people who need to make calls abroad for work.
Iliad problems with international calls: the case
Iliad offers its customers the possibility to call some international numbers (all the most important ones) for free, using the unlimited minutes of their monthly subscription. For some time now, however, some users have been reporting a strange problem: international calls are blocked just before the 20-minute duration. The line drops and the user is forced to call back the person he was calling with.

From the tests made by the guys at UniversoFree, the anomaly affects all Iliad customers who try to make an international call to the numbers included in their phone subscription. The problem is very annoying and ultimately affects a small number of people, only those who make international business calls lasting more than 20 minutes. But it could also affect those who call a call center located outside Italy. And in many cases calls with call centers last more than 20 minutes.
