How to get WhatsApp on iPad? There are at least three solutions to be able to chat on the app from your tablet. Here’s how to do it
WhatsApp is among the most popular and used messaging apps in the world. Since it became part of the Facebook group – belonging to Mark Zuckerberg – it has made a quantum leap. For example, it allows you to exchange GIFs, Stickers in chat, or even publish States. But unfortunately, no one is perfect.
What is the downside of WhatsApp? It’s designed for smartphone use only. In fact, if you try to search for it in the App Store via your iPad, you won’t find it. However, on many occasions you don’t have your cell phone available, so you need to rely on a computer or tablet to talk to your contacts. Fortunately, there are at least three solutions. The first is to take advantage of WhatsApp’s web version, the second is to rely on third-party applications. The third way to use the app on the iPad is to rely on the procedure called Jailbreak, which allows you to use applications on the iPad that are not normally available on iOS.
Using WhatsApp on iPad via the web version
The easiest and “painless” way to use WhatsApp on the iPad is to launch a WhatsApp Web session on your tablet of the bitten apple. Just launch Safari and access the web.whatsapp.com desktop version.
In the page appears a QR code, which can be scanned using the “main” smartphone on which we usually use the messaging app. In the mobile interface, just tap the menu in the upper right corner (the one with the three vertical dots) and go to Settings and then WhatsApp Web. From here you can take a picture of the QR code present on the iPad’s screen. Once you’re done with the process, you can freely use the app on the new enabled device.
Using WhatsApp on iPad via external tools
An alternative to web enablement, is to download replacement tools from the App Store. These are apps that the iOS system accepts and that have very similar features to WhatsApp. Among them we mention WhatsPad Messenger for iPadĀ or Messenger for WhatsApp.
Jailbreak your iPad
The term Jailbreak refers to a procedure that allows the iOS operating system to remove certain constraints, and thus download to your iPad even applications that are not present in the App Store. This maneuver is usually not recommended, especially if you are not familiar with the Apple operating system, because it could compromise the use of the device. Before starting this process, you need to check which version of iOS is present on the iPad, because for each version of the system you need to install a different jailbreak software.
