All the new Apple products coming this fall

All the latest news on the products that Apple should make official by the end of the year: iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7, AirPods 3, the iPad and MacBook Pro M1X

As every year the anticipation around the next smartphones with Apple on the back is high, but perhaps never as this year there is so much meat on the fire from Apple. The Cupertino company, say the rumors, still has many products on the launch pad, unlike Samsung that for example – Galaxy S21 FE aside – has with Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 finished the major presentations for 2021.

In his weekly newsletter, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has made the point around the next Apple products, the several that will arrive by year-end and those that could arrive in the early months of next year. The first to arrive in chronological order will be the iPhone 13, whose range will be declined as for the current iPhone in a total of four variants: iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Almost certainly to accompany them there will be the new Apple Watch and the third generation of AirPods, the famous wireless headphones Apple. There should also be room for iPad mini 6 and iPad 9, while MacBook Pro with M1X chip should close the round of novelties in 2021.

iPhone 13

The circle around the iPhone 13 is about to close. So much has been said about Cupertino’s upcoming smartphones in recent months, and even more so in recent weeks. According to Gurman’s information, the next “applephones” will be those that Apple would have once identified with the letter “S”, then with new hardware and functional but not aesthetic.

At least not overwhelming. A slight aesthetic change will come from the slight reduction in the size of the notch, that is the “notch” on top of the display that contains the earphone capsule, the camera for selfies and the technology necessary for secure unlocking with the face. Apart from a smaller notch, there should be nothing else on the iPhone 13.

They are expected, however, non-aesthetic changes, but visible. For example, it is almost certain that the display of the iPhone Pro will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz thanks to LTPO technology (low power), a first for the iPhone that will bring greater fluidity in use. Expected significant news on the cameras, especially those of the Pro variants. The ultra wide-angle in particular will receive, it is said, significant updates.

Apple Watch Series 7

For Apple Watch Series 7 is expected a slightly revised design with less blunt lines, then consistent with the new course of the iPhone, and consequently with a display less curved at the edges, more flat. Needless to say, will come a new chip that can offer better performance and power consumption.

AirPods 3

On AirPods 3 do not come new news for lovers of the current design of the earphones, which according to Gurman will have a shape more similar to that of the AirPods Pro and therefore closer to the in-ear. There’s no doubt, he says, that it will be the biggest update the AirPods have received since their inception.

iPad mini 6 and iPad 9

For the iPad mini there would be big news in store. It will be “completely redesigned, and is destined to be one of the most beloved iPads for Apple customers,” with an A15 Bionic chip (the same as the iPhone 13), a USB-C input, and a magnetic Smart Connector similar to the iPad Air and iPad Pro.

For Gurman, a “thinner and faster” iPad 9 will also arrive, the entry-level model dedicated to students or those who want an Apple tablet without spending excessive amounts of money.

MacBook Pro with M1X chip

MacBook Pro with M1X chip will not be unveiled in September, Gurman says. According to which Apple will unveil the update in November, introducing 14- and 16-inch sizes, the M1X chip and mini-LED type displays.
