By creating special groups within the Contacts app of Android, you can have a secret profile on WhatsApp: here’s how to do it
Often and often our privacy on WhatsApp is put in danger: it takes little for a person to be able to know our phone number and start storming us with messages. The messaging application has not yet introduced features that allow you to hide your phone number or to create hidden groups where personal data is not displayed.

Such a feature on WhatsApp is not there, but using a simple trick you can have a secret profile on WhatsApp that some users (chosen by us) will not be able to discover. Thanks to this simple trick the conversations we had with the users we chose will also disappear from WhatsApp. Here’s how to do it.
How to create an invisible profile on WhatsApp
Becoming invisible on WhatsApp is a dream of many people and thanks to this simple trick you can make it come true. The whole thing is based on the concept of a “secret contact” in the phone’s address book. A secret contact is a phone number that the smartphone fails to synchronize within the contacts address book. If it is not present there, not even WhatsApp will be able to recognize it. The Contacts app on Android lets you create groups where you can put all the numbers of people who cannot contact you. It sounds like a complicated task, but it is very easy to accomplish. Let’s go to the Contacts app on Android and click on the icon with three vertical dots in the top right corner. From the menu that opens, select Settings and then Contacts to view. A list will appear with all the applications that use the phone numbers in the address book: from here select Customize. Another window will open and we put the check next to WhatsApp. At this point we will return to the home of the Contacts app and select all the phone numbers we want to see on WhatsApp: all those excluded will become part of the “special” group that can not bother us on the instant messaging application. Thanks to this simple trick we can become invisible on WhatsApp to some users chosen by us.
The ultimate solution: block a user on WhatsApp
If we want to be sure that some users will no longer bother us on WhatsApp, we can block them. How to do it? Very simple: enter WhatsApp, select the conversation created with this user, press on the icon with three vertical dots in the upper right corner and then on More. At this point a menu will appear with several options and we will have to choose Block. In this way we won’t become exactly invisible on WhatsApp (the other user will still be able to see our number), but he won’t be able to bother us anymore, since we won’t receive his messages.
