Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1 extended until February 2020

The Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 2 has been extended until early February: coming new themed events and challenges

The Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 2 will not end in December as originally planned, but will continue until the beginning of February. The news comes directly from Epic Games, which on the blog of the video game has published a post in which communicates the extension of Season 1. The software house not released much information, has only specified that the problem the extension was necessary to launch a new themed event.

Logically, the event is dedicated to Christmas 2019. In these weeks the developers are working to add new challenges and new accessories in the online store. All with a Christmas theme. There is still no official date, but the Christmas event could start in the first days of December. Compared to previous Fortnite seasons, Season 1 of Chapter 2 will last twice as long and will lead the way for a series of exclusive new features designed by the developers at Epic Games for the new year.

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1: what’s new coming

In the post published by Epic Games, the only explanation given lies in the software house’s desire to release a series of holiday-themed updates soon, already starting at the end of this month on the occasion of Thanksgiving in the United States until the arrival of the Christmas holidays. The post talks about new game features, new free rewards, and a special unspecified “live” experience, which by the sounds of it, should be a truly unmissable event. Will players perhaps get the chance to take down a new monstrous creature like Storm King from Fortnitemares?

Fortnite: December events

Last year, Fortnite, during the month of December organized the event “14 Days of Fortnite”, a marathon online with lots of challenges and prizes in the holiday theme. Epic Games is preparing something similar for this year? Well, according to the post published by Epic Games, this is, for now, little, but sure.
