Italian ATMs again under cyber attack. This time are the hackers of Anonymous to have put in their crosshairs the ATMs present in virtually every Italian city. But this is a very particular attack, that of computer and electronic has very little. At least according to the information leaked by LulzSecITA, the Italian branch of Anonymous.
With a series of posts on the official twitter account of the group of digital activists, in fact, an attack campaign named OpPaperStorm has been announced. Don’t imagine, however, strange malware or strange tactics of attack to computer networks: it’s a massive leafleting action that targets ATMs and other areas of big cities particularly frequented. Why Anonymous attacks Italian ATMs
But what would be the target of the Italian hacker group? According to the text in the flyer, stuck on top of ATMs, along the streets and posted in the mailboxes of many apartment buildings, LulzSecITA is looking for new recruits, not necessarily hackers. Anonymous, in fact, would like to find new people interested, reads the flyer, in the search for freedom and truth. In short, no hacker attack, but an action to make new proselytes ready to join their cause.
