Samsugn is ready to launch the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition, a low-cost smartphone with the Snapdragon 865 and 6GB of RAM on board. Here’s when it arrives
As happened already with the last edition, this time Samsung is planning to launch a low-cost version of its top of the range: the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition. It’s now almost a month that we talk about this new device and now come important confirmations: the well-known journalist Evan Blass has published an image of the smartphone, confirming its release in the coming months.
The photo reveals what we already knew in the past: the device will have the same design and the same lines of the Galaxy S20, although it will be a slightly less performing version and with a much lower price. Samsung, however, does not want to betray the philosophy of the range and the smartphone will have features of true top of the range. A device that is not afraid to challenge devices that are positioned in the range between 500 and 600 euros and that offer top performance. At the moment there are not so many news that we have available on the characteristics, but it seems almost obvious that on board there will be the Snapdragon 865 with support for at least 6GB of RAM. For the release on the market we have to wait a little more ‘, at least until the end of the year.
Galaxy S20 Fan Edition, the data sheet
A smartphone with a lower price than the other top of the range Samsung, but not for this with worse features. The Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will have a respectable technical card, with on board the Snapdragon 865 processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Despite the fact that the SoC was released earlier this year, it’s still one of the best on the market. The screen will be 6.5 inches with FullHD+ resolution and a hole in the center, with inside the 32 Megapixel camera.
The rear camera compartment should consist of three sensors: main 12 Megapixel, wide-angle 12 Megapixel and telephoto 8 Megapixel with 3x zoom.
Battery 4500mAh that ensures a good autonomy of at least twenty-four hours with fast charging. The fingerprint reader will be located under the screen. If the presence of the Snapdragon 865 chipset is confirmed, the smartphone will also support 5G.
When the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition comes out
The previous model, the Galaxy S10 Lite, was launched by Samsung in early January, during CES 2020. Although next year’s Las Vegas show will only be online, the South Korean company could use the same strategy and launch the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021.
As for the price of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition, the target range is between 500 and 600 euros. A very interesting price looking at the data sheet of the smartphone.
