The FIFA 21 football simulator upgrade will also arrive on December 4 for next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X: how it works and what’s new
For FIFA fans, the date to mark on the calendar is December 4: FIFA 21 will arrive on that very day, both for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X. In addition to announcing the launch, EA Sports has leaked that in the coming weeks will give the public some other tasty details on the new generation of the game.
All eyes are on the version dedicated to the long-awaited upcoming consoles from Sony and Microsoft, so EA Sports has chosen to rely on a specific date for one of its flagship products. There are in fact many new features, especially from the point of view of technology, on which PS5 and Xbox Series S/X have influenced by making significant improvements in the game. FIFA 21 is already available for purchase for the other platforms most appreciated by the public: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch, editions launched on the market last October 9.
FIFA 21: where were we with the news?
What we already know about FIFA 21 is that it will allow much faster loading times than in the past, progress due to the integrated SSD disk on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. A step forward has also made the gaming experience, thanks to a completely revised graphics, an improved immersiveness and a new approach to the movements of players, more fluid and realistic than ever.
The details on which fans would like to have some more indiscretions are still many, at least before they can play with the consoles coming next month. In the meantime, however, EA Sports wanted to give players one more chance to experience the excitement of FIFA 21 in full swing. And that’s where the Dual Entitlement program comes in.
FIFA 21 on PS5, free with Dual Entitlement (but under certain conditions)
Through the program called Dual Entitlement, EA Sports allows you to download a free digital copy (the only format available for these platforms) of the game for PS5. But how does this interesting upgrade at zero price work?
First of all, it must be pointed out that you must have first purchased FIFA 21 for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Once in possession of this, it will be possible to make the free download of the game for the two latest generation consoles, but necessarily before the launch of FIFA 22, roughly scheduled for September/October 2021.
For those who intend to start playing on the previous console and then enjoy all the evolutions planned for PS5 and Xbox Series S|X, it is fair to remember that not all progress is automatically transferred from PS4 and Xbox One. In fact, the only ones to enjoy this benefit are those related to Ultimate Team and Vault, while Online Seasons, Co-Op, Pro Clubs Career mode remain out.
