A group of hackers calling themselves OurMine claimed to have hacked the Facebook founder’s Pinterest account. In danger also the Twitter profile
“Don’t worry, we are just testing your security”. If someone has noticed this message in Mark Zuckerberg’s biography on his Pinterest account, don’t worry, the Facebook founder hasn’t gone crazy.
According to the website Cnet.com, Mark Zuckerberg’s Pinterest account has been hacked by a self-styled hacker group that calls itself OurMine, which made headlines a few months ago for hacking the social profiles of some of the most important personalities in Silicon Valley. The hacker attack lasted only a few minutes, a demonstrative action to turn the spotlight on the problem of computer security. OurMine’s goal is to send a clear message to the most important personalities of the hi-tech world: if you don’t take effective action on people’s privacy, no one is safe.
Zuckerberg under attack
This is not the first time that the Facebook founder suffers an attack from the OurMine group: already some years ago they tried to enter his LinkedIn account. Since then, hackers report, Mark Zuckerberg has increased the level of protection of his social accounts, activating two-step authentication. But not even this action seems to have increased the security of his profiles, in fact OurMine claims to have stolen to the Facebook CEO also his Twitter credentials and to know the phone number associated with the account, but not to want to spread them. But Zuckerberg is in good company: the self-styled hacker group in recent months has also targeted Google CEO Sundar Pinchai and Uber founder Travis Kalanick. The Facebook daddy, for the moment, did not want to make any statements about it.
