One of the main features of Smacircle S1, this is the name of the small means of transport of the Chinese company, is the very light weight. The electric scooter, in fact, does not exceed 15.5 pounds, which in kilograms are 7. Really few for such a device. The scooter is made of carbon fiber, which in addition to making it not very heavy gives it a lot of resistance. The Smacircle S1, in fact, can carry around a person weighing up to 220 kg. And that’s not all. Another element that makes the scooter produced by the Asian company an object more unique than rare is the ability to fold and slip into a backpack.

Of all respect also the other characteristics. Starting from the maximum speed that the S1 is able to reach. In fact, thanks to the 240 Watt electric motor, the scooter can exceed 20 kilometers per hour, which is not exactly low for a vehicle designed to run in the city. Also good is the autonomy of the lithium battery (produced by Samsung) that allows the small vehicle to cover with a charge cycle 12 miles, or almost 20 kilometers. Not extremely long the charging time of the S1: it takes, in fact, 2 hours and a half.
Dedicated App
But that’s not all. As mentioned, the “Chinese” scooter can be controlled via smartphone. The electric vehicle has a dedicated application through which you can set and check a series of parameters, such as lights, maximum speed, battery level, the stretch of road traveled. And that’s not all. With the app, using the fingerprint reader, you have the opportunity to lock and unlock the eBike.
Price and release date
To fund the project, Smacircle Technology has launched a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo, a crowdfunding platform. The Chinese company hopes to start delivering the scooter from October 2017. Starting price: $649 (about 580 euros, according to the current exchange rate).
