There are several applications on the Internet that promise to show us the contacts who view our profile on Facebook, but are they reliable services?
Since the world has existed, man has always asked himself existential questions, such as: was the egg or the chicken born first? Or, to be or not to be? Since the Internet and social media have existed, however, the real question that plagues users is: “Is there a way to check if someone views my Facebook profile?”
This question is definitely one of the most searched questions on the Net in the last decade. Over time, surfing on the famous social and in general on the Internet, it will have happened to anyone to encounter applications and programs that promised to compile a list of all accounts that had visited our Facebook page. Some of them promised to inform us which users were most curious and attentive to our profile. In most cases these apps were, and are, a real rip-off. They are ploys to spread ads or generate traffic. Also because the answer to the question is a disappointment: No, there is no way to understand who is viewing our page on Facebook.
A false myth to dispel
Over time, due to the existence of these services, many users were convinced that it was possible to understand which people were viewing more of their profiles on Facebook. In reality, this is a false myth that must be dispelled. Facebook does not allow in any method to track users who interact with a particular profile. Obviously this data exists and is exploited by Facebook for personalized suggestions and ads towards us. However, the social network has no intention of sharing this information with third-party applications and services. If one day Facebook sells this data to other companies, it will do so only for a very important economic return and not to generate a trivial list of profiles that have visited our account.
Beware of applications
As said, all applications that promise to create a list of contacts that most of all view our Facebook profile are actually a scam. These programs are at best used to spread advertisements and at worst to infect our computer with a virus. Such apps may contain adware or request permission for payments without asking for our consent.
