Starting on October 26, Apple begins shipping the new cheap iPhones, here’s how to preorder the iPhone Xr in a few simple steps on Cupertino’s website
Starting on October 26, 2018 Apple will begin deliveries of its 2018 cheap iPhone, namely the iPhone Xr. If we want to buy the new smartphone with a 6.1-inch LCD screen from Cupertino, all we have to do is connect to the official site of Apple and pre-order the phone.
With the Iphone Xr Apple tries to repeat the experiment (failed on that occasion) already attempted with the iPhone 5C. That is, to present on the market an iPhone with a lower list price than the high-end (iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max, this time) in the hope of attracting the attentions of those users who would like to buy an iPhone but do not feel like spending more than 1,000 euros (do not forget, then, that the prices of the iPhone in Italy are higher than elsewhere). According to the first reviews and field tests, the iPhone Xr should have the credentials to do well in the sales phase, but it will be up to consumers to indicate whether the strategy of Apple is winning or not.
How to pre-order your iPhone Xr
Once connected to the Apple site look for the entry iPhone in the top bar and then iPhone Xr, the second item from the left. At this point we will arrive in the presentation page of the device where we will discover all its technical characteristics, the details of the photographic compartment and design. However, we are interested in buying the smartphone and we do not need further clarification so we look in the upper right corner of the voice Preorder (it is in blue) and click on it.
Once we arrive in the pre-order page we will be asked to make our first choice: the color of our iPhone Xr. Before, however, a screen reminds us that in the package in addition to the phone we will find the EarPods earphones with Lightning connector, a Lightning to USB cable and the power adapter for charging. We will be able to choose our iPhone Xr among six different colors: White, Black, Blue, Yellow, Coral and Red. We can look at the preview of the color on both the front and back and once chosen we click on the image of the phone of the color we prefer to continue with the purchase.
Having made the choice of coloration we will have to choose the capacity of the internal memory of our future iphone Xr. The 64GB version costs 889 euros, the 128Gb version costs 949 euros and finally the 256GB version costs 1,059 euros. Here before making the choice we can click on the item in blue at the bottom “See the delivery dates for your location” which tells us exactly how long we will have to wait before clasping our new iPhone in our hands. Having chosen the storage and seen the estimated date of delivery we will go directly to the cart where we can add for 169 euros the insurance AppleCare+ (it is our preference is not mandatory).
