Galaxy S10 Lite, Samsung’s low-cost top of the range

Samsung is working on a new low-cost smartphone: the Galaxy S10 Lite. Here are what are the characteristics and when it will arrive on the market

Samsung is working on a “Lite” version of the top-of-the-line smartphones launched in this 2019: Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10. The South Korean company seems to be intent on following what its main competitors have already done: launching a cheap version of the top of the range smartphones to give the possibility to those who can’t spend 700-800 euros for a new device to buy a reliable cell phone.

In the last few days, very interesting information has been leaked about the Galaxy S10 Lite, which should hit the market by the end of the year. Samsung is deciding which components to put inside the smartphone to make it different from other devices already on the market. The Galaxy S10 Lite, in fact, could become a copy of some of the Galaxy A family smartphones, which have become very numerous in the last two years. The technical sheet of the Galaxy S10 Lite should feature the presence of the Snapdragon 855 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Nothing is known yet regarding the price, but it should be very competitive.

Technical features Galaxy S10 Lite

Samsung is doing things in a big way. From the rumors published on the net, the Galaxy S10 Lite has a very interesting technical card for being a device designed for the mid-range. On board we find the Snapdragon 855 chipset (the same present on all top-of-the-line smartphones launched in the first half of 2019) with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable internal storage. The display should be flat and have a 6.7-inch diagonal with FullHD+ resolution. No news regarding the design, but it should be very similar to its bigger brothers, so with the hole on the screen with the front camera inside.

On the photo compartment not much is known. The smartphone should have two or three rear cameras with the main sensor of 48 Megapixels. Excellent battery: 4370 mAh capable of ensuring an autonomy that easily exceeds 24 hours. Support for fast charging at 45W. The Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to hit the market with Android 10.

When the Galaxy S10 Lite comes out

As for the release date and price of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, the information available is very little. It should come out by the end of the year (before Christmas 2019) at a price ranging between 400 and 500 euros.
