According to rumors, Motorola is ready to present three new smartphones that would enrich the Edge range: top cameras for all
Already anticipated via Twitter by leaker Evan Blass, Berlin, PStar and Kyoto would be the three news that Motorola has in store for the near future. Of course, these are not the final names with which we will know the three Android smartphones once on the market, but rather the three names with which they are identified during the design phase.
The three Motorola, which in the absence of the final nomenclature we will call precisely Berlin, PStar and Kyoto and that would be part of the family of smartphones Edge, have been intercepted by “hunters” of rumors that have revealed part of the technical characteristics. The most powerful of the three would be the Motorola Edge Berlin, strong with the recent Snapdragon 778G chip from Qualcomm already used in the Honor 50 and for which would also be a variant designed specifically for the North American market – Berlin NA – with a different composition of the camera group, at present difficult to explain. It is said that Berlin NA is likely to be exclusive to the operator Verizon lacking the superzoom instead present in the variant for the global market.
Specifications of Motorola Edge Berlin (and Berlin NA)
Motorola Edge Berlin and the variant for the US market Berlin NA would be identical in every respect, except – as mentioned – for the rear cameras: a 108-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with macro functions in the “global” variant and an 8-megapixel camera in the US variant, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens – with zoom still unknown – instead absent on Berlin NA and replaced by a small 2-megapixel sensor for depth of field detection.
Identical the remaining specifications anticipated by the rumors: Snapdragon 778G chip, 32-megapixel front camera and three colors: Emerald Green, Stout Brown and White.
Specifications of Motorola Edge PStar
Of Motorola Edge PStar remains unknown the chip that will power it, but the fact that rumors have suggested the use of Qualcomm’s X55 5G modem suggests that a Snapdragon 865 or 870 could be used. There would then be three choices in terms of RAM – 6, 8 or 12 GB – and two in terms of storage space – 128 or 256 GB.
Three cameras at the rear of Motorola Edge PStar, it seems the same as Motorola Edge Berlin in global variant: 108-megapixel main sensor, 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle and finally the 8-megapixel telephoto.
Specifications of Motorola Edge Kyoto
Decidedly limited instead of the information disseminated by the well-informed about Motorola Edge Kyoto, which are limited to the cameras. In addition to the 32-megapixel front selfie camera, there would be a group of three sensors on the rear: the 108-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth of field sensor.

Motorola Edge Kyoto seems to be the cheapest of the three, although it is not possible to say for sure in light of the limited data that have been released. There is no information on release times with the three also possibly being made official at different times of the year.
