Cominciano a concretizzarsi le teorie su Google Pixel 5a, il nuovo smartphone realizzato da Mountain View. After the rumors, immediately denied, that wanted the project cancelled due to the lack of components caused by the pandemic in place, a report has confirmed a very precise date for the presentation.
The news came directly from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, after the confirmation of Google that has dismissed rumors about the stop to work. On the occasion, the giant had stressed that the phone would make its official debut around the same time as its previous version, Pixel 4a. And, upon closer inspection, the dates coincide. Certainly, so far the information on the next device of Big G have been rather scarce, leaving room for the assumptions of experts and anticipations of tipsters. The time, however, to be able to touch the new model may not be so long: here’s why.
Google Pixel 5a, when it could arrive
According to what was revealed by Bloomberg, the time of the arrival of Google Pixel 5a would be set in August. Everything, therefore, would coincide with the anticipation of Big G last April, since the last iteration was announced on August 3, with an opening of sales a few days away, or the 20th of the same month.
Previous reports have already spoken of a launch definitely limited. If they turn out to be true, the device could be available only in a small number of markets, such as the US or Japanese. Obviously, for now, there are no confirmations on the matter by those directly involved, not even on the actual selling price.
Google Pixel 5a, probable technical characteristics
To provide a general picture on the appearance of the smartphone, an update not substantial compared to the Pixel 4a 5G, was the tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer. In the published renders you can appreciate a 6.2-inch OLED screen, with punch-hole for the front cam, while on the back you can see a square-shaped module for the dual camera with LED. Present also the fingerprint reader.
Inside, however, we could meet the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, already integrated on both the 4a 5G version and the Pixel 5 line. For a step forward in terms of SoC we must wait for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models that will arrive, probably, in October. Already considered a real revolution for Big G, both in terms of design and of the photo/video sector, will rely on a custom chip, with performance similar to the Snapdragon 870.
