Don’t remember what is the unlock code of your Wind mobile card? No problem: recovering it is easier than you think
Losing your SIM PIN is never a good thing. Inside that plastic card is stored very important information such as phone contacts, SMS and, of course, your phone number. In short, inside a SIM card there could be very important data and unlocking and recovering it is essential.
So don’t be surprised if the various phone operators try to offer simplified procedures to allow you to recover the SIM card unlock code. If, for example, you don’t know how to recover Wind SIM PIN, know that you have at your disposal different options that will allow you to unlock your phone card in a matter of seconds. And, if none of the methods work, you still have the Wind stores card, as I explain in the last paragraph. In short, a rather complex problem that, as we will see shortly, has several solutions easy to apply.
How to recover PIN SIM Wind: the packaging
First of all, check that you still have the packaging of the SIM, ie the plastic card (the size of a credit card, more or less) from which you “extracted” the card to put in the smartphone. On that card, in fact, are printed (and covered by a surface that you have to scratch) both the PIN code and the PUK code of your Wind SIM: if you can find it, in short, you will have everything you need to unlock the card of your cell phone and go back to use it.
How to recover PIN SIM Wind: the customer area and the app
Some data relating to your Wind card are also available through the customer area on the Wind website and through the MyWind app for Android and iOS smartphones. On the site you must log in with the credentials related to the phone number of which you want to recover the PIN, click on the item Recover PUK and find the 8-digit code with which you can unlock the WIND mobile card (I remind you that the PUK will be asked if you enter the wrong PIN three times in a row). From the app, however, you must always enter the credentials of your Wind profile, select the phone number and then click on Line info. Here, among the various information available, you will also find the PUK code, which will allow you to unlock the phone card.
How to recover PIN SIM Wind: customer care
In case you have neither the SIM packaging nor a profile on the Wind portal you can always call Wind customer care and ask for support from one of the operators. To retrieve the PIN or PUK of the Wind SIM you will be asked for several pieces of information, so as to ascertain your identity and make sure you have the card in your hands. In addition to your personal details, you may also be asked for your cell phone number and SIM serial number (which you can retrieve using one of these apps).
How to recover Wind SIM PIN: Wind store
As I said at the beginning, if none of the previous methods worked, there’s only one last attempt left: go to a Wind store and ask for a SIM replacement. After verifying your identity (by crossing your personal data with those in their database) they will be able to make the SIM change: you will have a new card with the same phone number, so you will not have problems with PIN and PUK. This time, though, be sure to store them carefully.
