Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition: improved security for companies

Samsung has unveiled the business version of its Galaxy Note 8: the device is designed to ensure the security of companies’ data

Samsung has unveiled the business version of its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8. The South Korean giant’s Enterprise model is especially made for SMEs and large companies. The device focuses on cybersecurity and adopts solutions designed to protect enterprise data.

The Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise has a number of multi-level unlocks to prevent a malicious person or hacker from accessing the company’s information too easily. Eric McCarty, Vice President of Mobile Marketing at Samsung Electronics America, said that the smartphone is designed with a number of features that will ensure that data is protected even when the device is disconnected from Enterprise Networks. This system will improve the phone’s cybersecurity while we are on the road or when we have meetings and gatherings outside of our enterprise.

Features Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise

The Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise has security systems that are automatically activated even when connecting between the smartphone and PC. This way when we exchange business information across devices we avoid vulnerabilities and loss of valuable business data. Samsung has guaranteed that the device will receive updates and security patches on a regular basis for the next three years. This could allow users to have a phone that is always up-to-date and will be compatible with various SMB installations even years from now. Samsung, moreover, has implemented the Samsung Enterprise Firmware Over the Air (E-FOTA) and Samsung Knox Configure applications to allow various companies to customize and configure their devices according to their various needs. The Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat and as technical features it is identical to the  “regular” version of the Galaxy Note 8.
