RyanAir website down today, what’s going on

The Irish low cost airline’s portal has been knocked out by the offer on airline tickets for travel throughout Europe. Unable to book and check in

The launch of the offer, with airline tickets starting at just over €7, took place at around 3pm today, November 13. Thousands of tickets on sale from the main Italian airports to dozens of destinations all over Europe: a real bargain, that thousands and thousands of Internet users in our country did not want to miss.

So, a few minutes after the launch, the Ryanair website began to suffer the first malfunctions, to the point of being unreachable from about 16. The portal, in fact, could not withstand the enormous load of access attempts and the server “collapsed”. Ryanair is down and no one can access it, whatever its purpose. So, users who want to buy tickets are forced to wait for the site to become available again, while those who need to check in online (even that is inaccessible) do not know what to do.

RyanAir is not working, what we know so far

There are no updates available at this time. There are no updates available at this time: this is the message you see when you try to enter the portal of the most famous low cost airline in Italy (and not only). The reasons, as mentioned, are well known: the high traffic caused by the flash offer launched in the early afternoon (and expiring at midnight today) has led thousands and thousands of users to try to access the portal, in the hope of buying a low cost ticket for a spring escape.

In the space of a few tens of minutes, however, the servers were overwhelmed by requests and were unable to handle the large web traffic generated by the promotion. If you’re wondering what to do in this situation, know that the answer is only one: wait. Although there are no official communications yet, RyanAir technicians are already working to solve the malfunction, allowing users to access the offers or their personal area, where they can check in online without going to the airport counters.
