Pokemon Unite is the new game developed by Nintendo: it will be available soon for smartphones and for Nintendo Switch
We waited a week, but the end result has repaid the wait: Nintendo has officially presented the new Pokemon Unite, yet another title dedicated to the cute little animals that for the past twenty years have invaded the Italian and world market. After the incredible success of Pokemon Go, Nintendo wants to return to dominate the video game market with a game that is easy and fun at the same time.
Pokemon Unite has all the credentials to be. The presentation trailer served mainly to understand what kind of genre the game will be. Pokemon Unite will be a MOBA, a real-time team strategy game. On the battlefield will challenge two teams of five players each and the goal is to capture the five areas on the map: whoever gets more wins the game. Each player will start with a level 1 Pokemon and will be able to evolve it by fighting with other wild Pokemon on the map.
Pokemon Unite will be a free videogame, but to unlock some special features you will have to pay. There is no official release date yet, but it is certain that the game will be available for Nintendo Switch and for smartphones.
How to play Pokemon Unite
The new pokemon video game is part of the MOBA genre, which stands for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena. To make it simple we are talking about a video game in which players will compete in a virtual arena. In Pokemon Unite you challenge two teams composed of 5 players, each one with a pokemon to command. The objective is to conquer the areas on the map and defeat the opponents.
All players will control a level 1 Pokemon that will evolve during the game by defeating other wild pokemon and also opponents. The game works online only and is available for smartphones and Nintendo Switch. Cross-play, or the ability to challenge players using other gaming platforms, is active.
How much does Pokemon Unite cost
Pokemon Unite will be free, but you’ll need to invest money to get all the extra features. A monetization tactic already used in other videogames.
When is Pokemon Unite coming out
There is no official release date for Pokemon Unite yet. It will most likely have to wait until next year.
